Ships and water
As the weather forecast was not very clear, but hinted of rain, today is another day to visit a museum. Close to Miraikan is the maritime museum, which has an incredible collection of ship models and some nice exhibitions of how various things in relation to them work. Although a bit lacking in the English explanations, the displays themselves are very nice to see.
As we head outside, to view some real ships, the Japanese coastguard seems to have decided to use this location for practice. The rescue operation being performed is rather simple, and it's not quite clear if this is meant as a presentation, or if they are grading the people that have to jump into the cold water in their wetsuits.
We end the evening with a trip to the Oriental bazaar, the only place I know where you can get a yukata in a western size, and finish with dinner at Maisen.
